    Greetings,

I've to stick together a quick and easy computer to host our source control (programming) server. It's nothing major on CPU or memory. I was wondering if anyone could advise me as to what I am missing or any difficulties I'll hit with the following build

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/119978 - ASUS Vintage V3-M2V890-SKT AM2

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/133379 - AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Socket AM2 1.8GHz 512KB L2 Cache OEM Processor

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/91121 - Kingston 1GB DDR2 667MHz / PC2-5300 MEMORY CL5 1.8V NON ECC UNBUFF x 2

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/128712 - Maxtor STM3160215A 160GB Hard Drive 7200RPM 2MB Cache - OEM

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/103208 - D-Link AirPlus G DWL-G510 Wireless PCI Adapter

Does the above all seem to fit together fine and provide a functioning computer which linux could be slapped onto?

Yep, looks fine to me. Although, i would get a 2x 512mb kit, as if one stick dies, you still have another. But if your 1gb stick dies, your screwed.

Apart from that its all good. And since this is not for DB's or so, i would reccomend 2/3 hdds in raid for either performance, or backup or redundant policies...
