    Hi all
    The issue:

I have a machine setup with no keyboard or mouse that utilizes a
touchscreen monitor. I still want to use the standard windows user
login authentication prompt (Login name and Password). I know that
within windows, you have the ability to get the windows onscreen
keyboard to open by pressing the 'windows' button on the keyboard
concurrently with the letter 'U'. But the problem in my case is that
I do not have a keyboard option.

Does anyone know if it is possible to start the window onscreen
keyboard at start up with the standard Windows login page?

I have tried the start>all programs>system tools>scheduled task and set the keyboard to stat when pc starts but it doesnt seem to work for me??

    Thanks in advance,

    Just a thought!

The file in Windows XP which runs the onscreen keyboard is called "osk.exe"

If you put this file into your startup so that it executes when the machine starts up?

    Or-

After the PC is started, run "osk.exe" from the Run Command, this will also open the Utility Manager which lists three programs one of which is the On-Screen Keyboard, there is a check box there too that allows you to start the onscreen keyboard automatically. (I think)

Edit: Oops! I missed the bit about wanting the On Screen Keyboard to be there before anyone is logged in????

I think you might be asking for too much there though?

Is it possible to start an application before the system is logged on?
