DNA stability

    Let's say you were isolating DNA and the last step is reconstituting in TE at 65C for 1 hour. Let's also say you kept it at 65C overnight instead. :o What's going to happen to the DNA in terms of fragment length etc.? Still viable?

    The strands anneal again at lower temps.

    Anyway, figured it out myself the hard way - the fragment lengths get marginally shorter.

    Statistically significant? I imagine with a large enough sample, yes.

    Meaningfully? Depends on what you want the DNA for...
