Has anyone else noticed poor sound on the sky platform. It's common on a lot of the more obscure channels (religous/telly shopping etc), but it's also quite noticeable on RTÉ, especially the news and weather forcast. Though TV3 arn't immune either, TG4 seems less prone to the problelem. It sounds like audio thats over modulated or seriously over processed.

I have seen a lot of problems when using scart leads on cheap branded tv's. Options you make consider trying are

    1. Going into the sound menu and turning down the boxes volume a little. Check the sound is on Stereo
    2. Experimenting with using the RF option to see if the sound is still distorted

    Hi Stevon,

Nope it's on both, TV in front room is connected via scart, others via RF.
The 'overmodulated' sound is the same on all. Turning down the master volume on the sky box helps a little, but it's still not 'clean sound'.
It's most noticeable on RTÉ (news, weather, primetime etc).
Oh and before the comments start, I know, I know I actually watch Prime Time, how sad is that !....er...er I only watch it to see Miriam.
Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
