Irish Person Wanted

I am moving to Ireland for a job as in allied health and I am just about to send my registration papers in...but my colleague just told me that my application envelope must have an Irish Post stamp on the envelope. This is because I am technically supposed to be already residing. arrrggg! I start work one day after I arrive in december so I need to get my board registration in before I arrive.

So...basically I want to pay someone to pop my application in the post. Otherwise I will not be able to work from my arrival date in December.

Does it make sense?? I dont know anyone that can do this for me.

I know it sounds dodgy getting contacted on a forum...I am just in a bind? Anyways I am not an internet weirdo or anything if you want to phone me or something.

Anyways I will send the envelope and you just pop it in the mail

I will pay 30 euros or something

    Regards
    Jules

Wrong forum and that sounds like crap. Contact your new HR people and ask them. I assume they know you're moving to Ireland for the job?

Maybe the person it's going to is a stamp collector.

but my colleague just told me that my application envelope must have an Irish Post stamp on the envelope.

Why the hell would it need a particular stamp on it?

Because I am supposed to be currently living in Ireland. But I get there right before I start work

Moved this to work & jobs, because I think it's most relevant to whether you need an Irish stamp to post the letter or not.

That should probably be your first question, before thinking of paying someone to send the letter.

But you could be on holiday when you post the letter?

Did you not say that you were abroad? Or did you let on that you were living in Ireland when you applied for the job? ANd where are you posting from, by the way. Don't lie, as the admins may check your IP.

Try letting the job know that you are allowed to work in the EU. It sounds like they're just trying to ensure anyone applying is already allowed to work in the EU, either by permit, or that they live here.

Finally, if it were me, I'd open the letter to ensure that what was in there is what you say, and not something dodgy (whereby it would end up with the Gardai.

First off - why on earth did you post this in the photography section?

Secondly - No way in hell I'd do this. You could be posting feckin ANYTHING and it'd be damn hard to trace you to a physical address. Not that I'm saying you are necessarily, just suggesting you try to find an alternate way to get your letter there.

send it to the australian embassy in dublin and ask them to walk outside their building (leave Australia and enter Ireland) and post it
