I used to sell at a car boot sale, and the amount of miserable ba5tards out there is unbelievable. Offer someone something decent for a €1, (just to get rid of it - many things would be worth 5/6 times more) and they'll offer 50cents.
Towards the end, I got so pissed off when this happened, I just ****ed such items in the boot of the car and brought them to the dump, rather than giving the miserable wretches any f***ing satisfaction. F*** off wasting my time haggling over f-ing pennies. F*** off.

Hi, If they're items that are not much good to you or that you're looking to get rid of them, I find that if you sell them all for the same price you sell alot more. ie put a sign on your table saying everything for €2 & you'll find you'll get alot of people interested & having a good look rather than price everything individually. If you're desperate to get rid of things bring it down to €1, it's amazing how quickly the €1 add up. I've found in the past that when I price everything individually I don't sell as much. Don't ask me why? Sorry if the advice is too late!
By the way, if anyone knows of any car boots coming up in the south Dublin, Wicklow area can they post it here please. Thanks!

    Welcome to Boards Davi.

I think this thread highlights our dire need for a car boot sale forum.

Well, theres a forum for just about everything else.

But if its ****e that people don't want to pay €1 for what makes you think a charity shop is going to want it? Don't be giving charity shops your unwanted bric a brac crap - the shops ends up having to dump these at a cost!

It's probably just force of habit. You should have charged €3 for the item, then they would have haggled you down to €1.50 and gone away feeling like Richard Branston Pickles.
