    just wondering:

there's a lot new fancy soaps around: gel and custom/shop made ones, they smell and look fantastic but do they do their job when you wash your hands after, lets say, you leave a toilet?

I presume you're talking about bacteria. I read lately that the claims made by 'antibacterial' soaps is rubbish, that in fact, soap is soap. So I would think custom/gel soaps do the job.

Though the new soaps that guard against MRSA etc are probably stronger.
