Any point upgrading to Athlon 64 X2 6000+ from Athlon 64 X2 3600+ or will the weak 8400 GS Graphics hold the system down anyway ?

Its a low profile Dell C521 so upgradeing the graphics is not an option.

    Thx

If you're talking about games then yes, the 8400GS would limit it, even as it is with a 3600+ it's easily reached it maximum potential. If course, you'd see benefits in a lot of other things....so it depends on what you actually do with the system? If you're a multi tasker, encode frequently, etc, then it'd be worth it.

    Hi Havok,

Na not any games, using it for multimedia in the livingroom so some encoding/burning of movies, think i'll go for it for the crack.

If not for games you will see a massive improvement with a 6000+ it is a very fast chip, and i doubt you would be dissapointed.
