How Much Round at K Club?

Can you get a voucher for a round at the K Club? How much would it cost? If the K Club doesn't do this, would there be any courses that do? What would be good for a BDay Present?

Depends on the course and time of year.

I think Palmer course is around the €350 region

golf is so tricky to buy a voucher for, esp the K club.

is the person likely to play on their own (Will K Club allow this??)

K Club NOT WORTH 350 euro!!!

Buy them a fourball in somewhere like Castleknock (cost you around 300) then they can bring three friends.

If your gonna pay that kind of money you could do alot better than Castleknock. A decent course, but if your getting a present for someone then one of the big courses is what you want to get them.

Between January and March you could get a game on the Palmer course for 135 euro on a monday or a tuesday.

On the Smurfit you're looking at 88 euro on a Monday and Tuesday between January and March.

Druids Glen is worth a look... 90 euro between now and April. Or they have a deal at present...

(15th October 2007 to 30th April 2008) PLAY BOTH DRUIDS GLEN AND DRUIDS HEATH for €139.

Some decent other gift ideas here too...

For what you'd pay for the K Club Palmer course you'd probably get golf, dinner, bed and breakfast in the Heritage. Possibly even a post round massage. Their website often has very tempting offers. And the place is fantastic, but without the snobbery of the K club. I mean seperate car parks for members and non, and two thirds of the spike bar is members only! How welcoming is that?

K Club is not even a great course, just a rich person's course. The new 18 there is much better than the old 18, in my opinion.

Headfort is much better, I think. As is Mt Juliet and Druids Glenn.

Portmarnock is certainly better. And Old Head...

Agree, overhyped and over priced. Much better to spend your money somewhere else like Mt. Juliet. Great winter deals, especially midweek, so he could bring friends fro the same money

Have to disagree! Played The K Club’s Palmer Ryder Cup course recently and have to say it was the best course I have played to date. The rates are a lot more reasonable now as well due to market conditions in general. Any of the big hotels do vouchers and considering that The K Club held The Ryder Cup I’m pretty sure they would do vouchers. Honestly i know a lot of people think it is stuck up but it really isn’t all the staff are down to earth and very friendly, hope this helps

I'm sure it is - but are all the staff so underhand when it comes to dealing with actual or potential customers, or can we assume it's just individual naivety on your part? :P

to be fair, and with all due respect, you stated earlier that you had worked there for 15 years. In reality you either do or you do not work in the KClub, or have some other vested interest in the place.
But you did arrive here today, did a search for the K Club and started making overtly positive posts about how wonderful and cost effective it is for golf and weddings etc etc.,
Then you change your mind and say you don't work for them. TBH I do not know or care if you work for them...
If you do, I wish you the best, and hope you do well in these difficult times >>> however you will find the reception on boards to be frosty to people who pretend to be regular punters when secretly peddling wares of any sort...
If you don't work for them, what you are currently doing is a little odd!

lads you's do be very harsh on folks at times but have to say i played there last year on the Ryder cup course and loved it. They had a 4 ball outing once a month for €65 each i think it was. To play on a quailty course like that when i played it was well worth it.. Hope do it again this year.. Simple as this, no matter what club you go to there are always some plonkers in a club that think there better than you.. FACT.
