How much make up do you own?

Just curious...

I'm a bit of an addict myself, I just keep buying new stuff even though I won't run out for ages. Its burning a pretty big hole in my pocket!

On the go at the moment I have:

4 foundations
3 face powders
5 blushers
2 bronzers
8 lipsticks
11 lip glosses
2 mascaras
2 eyeliners
Far too many eyeshadows to count
Other products like benefit's high beam & lemon aid

Someone make me feel better....

This might make you feel better, I'm in work so can't go through it to count how much exactly is there, but to give you an idea, its on a large shelf in my wardrobe about a metre and a half across and a metre deep, I wanna be a make up artist though, so thats my excuse

I promise this is not intentionally bitchy OP so here we go. I love anything glamorous, I love makeup, I love clothes, I love anything fabulous because us ladies ARE in fact fabulous and Good Lord do I spend my sponds on such things. BUT, If those 4 foundations are for your personal use as are your powders and blushers then whooooooaaaa with the list there lady. Like any sealed product, makeup "goes off" too and it is BAD BAD BAD to have that many products on the go at once (unless you are a drag queen with no shame or a make up artist where you are using them all the time). It is not good lady and they are full of bacteria. If you have four foundations for example you obviously have not found a good one to suit your skin type. Do you mix them? What brands? For what purpose? A day and night? Whenever the mood takes you? It's not my fulltime job but I am a makeup artist so feel free to PM me if you like and I can perhaps point you in the right direction. Like I say, I am not being a beeeeatch but its not good for your skin to have that many face products on the go at once.

I worked for a cosmetics company last year... they had a HUGE clearout so i probably have more stored away. i also have a whole load of bottles of tan!!

I bought some recently so I have 2 foundations (I'll probs only be using the new one now though), maybe 4 eyeshadows, 3 eyeliners, some lip glosses, 2 mascara
er, I think that's it
I don't wear makeup much

Am I the only one who doesn't use blusher or bronzer (??) ?

I only use blusher an bronzer when going out

i'd use bronzer to highlight my clevage when wearing a low cut top etc but other than that i don't bother!!

because i worked in a cosmetics distributers and we had a big clear out. it's not like i wear all my make up!!!

19 eyeliners... actually i sound like a drag queen!! i have different shades of colours etc depending on eyeshadows and stuff!!

I have one small makeup bag with my everyday makeup in it, eg foundation, eyeliner, mascara, 3 or 4 eyeshadows, lipgloss and blusher (dont wear all of this, unless im going out) and one bigger bag with the rest of my makeup that i can call upon if needed

i also have loads of Eyeshadow's!! but i never wear just one colour on my eyes. i also have about 6 foundations...two of which i never really wear and can probably be chucked. fook it....buy whatever foundation ya feel ya need!! ...daytime and nightime ones for me are a little bit different...
i'm a bit of a bitch for blusher. i basically have pretty much the same as a few of those lists above...i cant be arsed counting everyting i have.

I own no blushers, foundations, powders, eyebrow stuff but...

I own-
- about 50 - 70 eyeshadows (Barry M, ebay palette, Collection 2000, Faces - mostly are pigment types, great for blending) , with more on the way from http://fyrinnae.com/ (they kick MAC's ass!)
- I also own at least 20 eyeliners, by Urban Decay, Barry M and other random ones. I loooove liquid eyeliners
- 2 eyeshadow bases (Benefit and Faces)
- one mascara
- one lipgloss

I thought that too but it says on her profile that she's a Mac make up artist so it's not that bad after if she needs it for her job....still though, I got dizzy looking at all that! I threw out a load of make up last year that I never use, it hurt but it had to be done, just a waste of space if I'll never use any of it anymore. I wouldn't like having make up that's years old anyway, can't be good for your skin.

I am w wagon for dating my foundations. I have about 6 different types... and yes i use them all..

mammy face - teacher meetings, school plays play dates, ballet class... light mousse

work face - liquid highlighted

dance face - darkish mousse

going out - liquid darkish mousturising

meetings face - all over balancing netural tone stick applicatied by brush

special occiasions- glittery nude mousse


My evil* is eye shaddows, mac and urban decay only all the coulors you can think of but my most bought and used is oil slick by urban decay... i go through about 1 pot every 2 months.

Lip sticks and Lip glosses get replaces ever 6 months at the most... i have too many to count but if you can think of a steel box a foot wide deep and high and fill it with lippy's standing with none falling over thats my lippys... they are not all used or opened, but i do replace the ones i throw out and always keep it full,

I have 4 pint glasses of brushes that also get replaced, the best thing for brushes is a steam steriliser...

I bought some foundation, eye shadow & mascara last year, first time in 15 years. I have a lot of lipsticks though, that's all I generally use. Foundation & mascara are gone now, into a black hole in my daughter's bedroom, I used them once and before I put any of it on, one of my daughter's friends asked me, "do you know how to put on make-up", she even offered to come and help me to put it on properly, "not likely", says I, as she puts it on herself as if trowels are going out of business.

I have one mabeline eyeshadow, i dream matte mousse foundation and pinl lip gloss (all mabeline) I only wear minimal makeup at weekends for going out.
I never got into the whole make up thing to be honest.

I have 5 foundation. 3 liquids, 1 I went off but will use up, 1 that I use now and a new one I'm trying out. The other are compacts for topping up during the day if needed.

Other than that I have the usual bits and pieces that would fill a small peddal bin. I know that I don't have as much as some of my pals.

I have 2 small glasses with brushes and clean them about once a month with a cleanser and then my good shampoo. Some of my brushes cost cira €50 so I treat them well as my own hair.

don't worry i'm as bad! my makeup just gathers and i love to try new things too, i have somewhere between 6 eyeliners However, whenever i find a product I usually stick to it! It is so much cheaper As for eyeshadow... you can never have enough but make sure you have at least one stable colour like brown

3 foundations, one is nearly empty and I don't use it anymore it's my old brand of foundation, one of them I also don't use as it's a smidgen to dark for me so only use one of them.
3 powders - use two of them
1 mascara
1 eyeliner(rarely used)
1 lipglosss(never used)
a pallette of no.7 blushers and eyeshadows(never used)
2 eyeshadows(rarely used)

Usually only use a bit of foundation and powder to smooth out my skin tone and a bit of mascara.

i own a good bit but don't use mostly any of it, all i use really is foundation, used to use dream matte mousse by maybelline, it ran out so i got the rimmel version. It isn't half as good imo so I was in Madrid and there was a MAC shop so i bought some foundation for 32 euro, eyeliner for 16 euro and an eyeshadow brush for 24 euro.

all i really put on in the morning is foundation, eyeliner and mascara,...and maybe some eyeshadow( can't be too noticeable for school ha!)
