Send flowers, book a restaurant and apologise repeatedly.

Or if shes a no frills type of girl, make her dinner tonight and massage her feet while she eats her fave icecream (which youve bought especially).

Edit: Ha, read it as gf, not bf. scratch the first idea, but the second should work!

ktK, I love the assumption that this is a man who has forgotten his GF's birthday talk about sterotyping

, but I think this is a boy friends birthday that is forgotten.

    Suggestion

Apologise , nice meal, and ' afters ' if you get my meaning ......

go at it like your trying to suck the chrome off a cadilac.

    all will be forgiven.

Buy him something he'd love plus cook a lovely meal with extras!

If you're going out a good while and splash out on presents I'd suggest a games console, guys love them! Nintendo Wii is superb or a nintendo ds for a lower budget, i dont work for nintendo I just love them :D He may be exagerrating his pissed off-ness and just wants some major attention from you, I'm sure he'll forgive you!

Give him 1 coupon that says "Any time, any where, any hole".

    He'll shut the hell up.

yeh, I think you'll have to cook him a very nice dinner, nice wine (or beer if he prefers) and then perform some serious favours after. Think of lots of dirty dirty things and do them.

He might enjoy it so much he asks you to forget his birthday again next year. ;)

Im hungover. What can I say? *grovels to all the men I stereotyped*:D

But it sure is another stereotype that for a man, sex pardons everything. Probably true tho. :p

That's the first time I've ever heard of a guy being upset that his birthday was forgotten. Anyway, OP, apologise and maybe bring him out for a meal. Nothing too fancy if he's still upset, since he won't enjoy it and you'll only be wasting money. If he's like any other guy, he'll soon forget about it and be back to his normal self.

I would buy him a years subscription to FHM.

Best present I ever got from my missus.

Damn. That's what I was going to suggest.

OP, if it's been more than 5 months, the above will do. Below 5 months, dinner and "some" fun. Also, did he get you much for your b-day? If not, just goto the cinema with him.

He may be going over the top, in the hopes of getting a steak and BJ.

As the saying goes, "if you're trying to get into a mans heart through his stomach, you're aiming too high";):D:p

I was thinking the same thing.

I usually forget my own birthday.

Yeah!!! If there was only some way of accessing GIG after GIG of hardcore porn I'd never leave the house I'd never have to go to that fecking eason's again to buy some soft core ****....oh wait....what's this....wild 44 DD'd midget takes it in all hole's click here....what the hell!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,816 ✭✭✭Calibos

Did he ever forget your birthday? If he did then this is just payback. He really couldn't give a fiddlers and is just feigning the indignation to get some extra lovin'. I've done that in the past. Never told her that I forgot it was my birthday too.

Her : OMG, I am so sorry honey, I forgot it was your birthday

Me : It is?...eh....It Is I am so upset you forgot, after all I try so hard to do something special for yours.

Her : I am so so sorry, how can I make it up to you?

    Me : Eh..I'll think of something :D

If he is genuinely pissed off at you for forgetting, then he is a pussy.
Men don't do Birthdays.....but if they did.....they'd probably be the most hastily bought flowers and scribbled on cards from tesco in the world

Steak and Blowjob to be honest,
If that doesn't solve the problem then he's playing for the wrong team.

I love the way all the suggestions here are essentially "shag him 'til he forgets". Despite several posters also pointing out that they're surprised this is an issue for the guy in question.

Leaving the stereotypes aside for one moment, I can understand how it might be an issue for the boyfriend if he'd hoped you might be doing something special together or what have you.

In which case, OP, you know him far better than any of us so you'll have to figure out something that the two of you can do to spend some quality time together. And no, that doesn't necessarily have to involve vouchers. It could be something as simple as taking him off for a picnic somewhere, or you could go further and arrange a weekend away for the two of you. Maybe find tickets to a gig that you might both enjoy? Or a film/show/whatever? Essentially, something that's both a present and a way for the two of you to get some time together.

And now, back to the "give him porn/sex" suggestions...

threesome and he will probably let your forget his birthday next year as well.

Other then that how long have you been going out with him. Just try and do something special. book a weekend away, get him flying lessons just something

All morning to "remember"? How can you remember something you've forgotten?

Oh FFS it's a frigging birthday. If it's that important to you then drop a couple of hints a few days/weeks beforehand.

Also, using several dozen exclamation marks in a sentence pretty much loses the argument for you.

OP, you're his girlfriend, not the rest of us. Why not use your own brain? This is a pretty silly PI tbh.

    OT

There is the oddly apt title of a thread on AH Beer, meat and the pill but it's got nothing to do with anything.

    /OT

A lot depends on how you react to when your birthday is missed, if you loose the head then I could understand how he'd be kinda upset. If you treat it as no big deal then he's starting to sound like a prima donna.

By the way why did you say you "have to" make it up ?
why did you not use words like "want to" or even "feel like I have to"

Still it would be nice for you to reply as it's difficult to figure out the whole situation from a one liner, was an ultimatium given , are you teenagers ? What happened last birthday ?

I think your BF has to put things into perspective...what is more important, having a gf he gets on with the other 364 days of the year - or one that jumps out of a cake on his birthday. It's one day FFS, it shouldn't even be falling out material, it should be laugh about it material if your bf was concentrating on the important things.
