Hi all, first time posting here, looking for some advice from all you well travelled folks!

Myself and my gf are thinking of heading to egypt for a week in March, I think the resort name is sharm el sheikh.

I was wondering if anyone had any experiance of going to egypt or any advice about this place?

Particularly how safe it is, what the weather is like and any other useful info.

I heard its famous for diving but neither of us would be in to that so there would be a lot of beach time!

    Any feedback appreciated

    Paul

being to egypt a number of times. have meet some great egyptians whom i can gladly call friends.

its very safe they realise that tourism is their bread and butter and so protect it.
best advice is to avoid drinking the local water or food washed in local water.
avoid people on streets trying to sell you things.
    always haggle when buying

friends were buying a seshia pipe, the price was100 euro (it was 4 foot tall) with the help of our egyptian friends we got it for 5 euro.

its a super place. you'll hav a brillanty time
