St Judes versus St Brigids (6.45)

Kilmacud Crokes versus St Vincents (8.00?)

I have a feeling its gonna be a Judes Crokes final. Well, one can dream!:)

Yes but we're special and deserve our own thread.:D:D

I should be down for the second match anyway,Crokes v Vinnies.

It is hard to judge who will win between Crokes and Vinnies.Vinnies were playing what would be termed as "weaker opposition" the last day and Crokes relied on dead balls and free kicks to put away Ballyboden St Endas so there is something to suggest that taking scores from play might be a problem for Crokes.Vinnies have a stringent defense.

    However,Crokes are favourites.

In the Judes-Brigids match,I'd expect Brigids to go through by a 3 point margin.Of the 3 quarter final matches I saw 2 weeks ago,Brigids were the most impressive team although I had written Judes off against Plunketts without seeing them play recently and they knocked them out.

Should be a good night of football.

Brigid's v Crokes. Interesting. Pity I can't go tonight and will be away for the final.

Brigids win. Not sure of exact details. Judes were 1pt up at half time and the final score was something like 0-7 to 1-11

Great win for Vincents, totally out thought, and outfought, Kilmacud. Kilmacud seemed to panic very early and started forcing the game with over 20mins left, 2 late goals (inc a dodgy penalty) flattered Crokes. Was a good game with some great scores from both sides.

Brigids deserved their win too but Judes were very poor, think they only got 1 point in 2nd half and that was in 27/28th minute. Should be good final anyway.

Should be a great final. In fairness with most of Crokes points against Boden coming from frees (note the bitterness!) they always had to raise their game to beat Vinnies. We gave away far too many silly frees in the quarters which meant Crokes could protect their lead instead of pushing out but you always knew Vinnies would not give that many away. I certainly think Vinnies are capable of winning the final and also a runners up place to Boden in the hurling ;)

Vincents in their second SFC final in a row and in in the semis in the hurling. Best all round senior team in Dublin? :p

Vincents are establishing themselves as the number one club in Dublin.I think I'll make a new thread..."Proud to be a Vincents man" :p

After beating Craobh Chiarain (last years champions) in the hurling,St Vincents are on a high.Could be the year of the double.St Brigids are the last obstacle but they too looked v impressive tonight.Thankfully Tir Eoghain was there at the start to fill me in on events as I got to the game in the second half.Brigids turned from trailing by a point at half time to brush off Judes who downed Plunketts two weeks previous. When I arrived,Brigids looked cosy and in their element.

    A northside final.Should be a cracker.

Better win this one bb cos the other is ours ;) (Nalced senses he may have some word eating to do but will troop on anyway!)

Vinnies would be favourites going into the final but I am weary of Brigids. However,I think Vinnies will go all the way. They certainly have to be fancied for the double now.

I hear Flukey didn't eat his breakfast this morning as he got his bowl of Cheerios at half 9 last night.:D .......only joking man.

I had breakfast full in the knowledge that we did the charitable thing in letting you win and not highlighting the cash you slipped into the ref's pocket.:p Enjoy your victory. That battle is over but we will be rejoining forces once the league gets going, especially if there is a match in Breffni Park. :)
