Since you were so good with the MP7 question, I'm also in need of some pointing toward a G36c top-rail. I've found a few things close to it on WGC but they're either missing their sights (and consequently part of the mounting hardware) or they're the extra long SL-9 style variants (which admittedly look good but not for the project I'm working on).
Anyone know where I can get the rail (secondhand if needs be) seperately including the iron sights? At this stage I'd almost consider buying a clone G36c and swiping the rail off it.

you could buy one of the really nasty clone ones like double eagle, got one ages ago, worst aeg ever but had the sight rail with sights attached

    One of these?

$83 dollars seems a bit steep
God its so annoying how rails +rail systems etc cost so much

yeah its pretty crap, was gonna change my sr-16 to an SPR, was like €200 for the front RIS, gonna get a clone 550 when its realised either that or a clone SPR

This is my problem, I want it in metal (I don't mind paying the bit more for the durability) but if you look at the end of the metal one in that picture there's, well, there's no end on it. There's a socket for a sight.
The plastic one though has the full rail throughout.

I want the plastic design in metal basically. With or without sights

G36c iron sights are flimsy at best. Ive broken one of them on mine you would be better off getting a nice red dot

The Iron sites on mine did not even make the Journey home when I got my G36.
I had it in a bag and when I got home the thinner of the rear sites had broken off.

Damm those cheap low melting point alloys.

The sights are coming off anyway, I'm putting an acog on it. It's just that it seems only the ones with the sights seem to be a complete unit.

gotta love acogs, i'm not 100% sure but are the rs g36 not all some kind of polymer?

I don't think so, I was under the impression the body was polymer and the rails were 2024 T3 aluminium. I'm thinking more for durability though because sights on this thing are gonna be taken on and off or replaced with other types etc. a lot.
