The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was '************'. Subject 'Phone no.', Account: 'mail1.eircom.net', Server: 'mail1.eircom.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Keep getting this when I'm sending emails through outlook express. Same problem with yahoo mail as well.

What Domain are you trying to send the mail to? (As in @What.What?)

    ******@Hotmail.com.

I've tried to send from my eircom account to my yahoo mail account and no good.

    Hmm!

I've just sent an email to a Hotmail account using Outlook Express but using my Gmail email address & it went successfully.

Then I sent it again but using my eircom account & it didn't go & I got a failed error.

You're using "mail1.eircom.net" as your outgoing SMTP setting in Outlook Express?

Is the actual email address you are using to send the email an eircom email address?

    Who is your provider?

Have tried eircom, yahoo and gmail. No good.

Each acount has their outgoing server, yahoo.com or gmail.com or eircom.net for each account.

Maybe there is a standard outgoing server setting that overrides these?

Well I know if you want to send & receive using your Hotmail account through Outlook Express you have to modify the accounts properties like this (See Pic below)
and use it in conjunction with something like FrooPoP's because Hotmail no longer support POP3 access to your Hotmail account.

But you should still be able to send to a Hotmail address using your eircom account in Outlook Express, unless something has changed?

You should use the smtp server of your service provider. So if you have broadband with eircom use eircom's, if you're with NTL use NTL's etc.

    Absolutely irlrobins,

Though I notice yesterday & today that if I use my Smart smtp settings to send an email to anyone other then a Hotmail address it sends fine but if I use it to send to a Hotmail address it fails everytime. why would that be?

The only two I know of are

    send.vodafone.net (For their Data Card)

    For their email accounts it's

    Incomming: imap.vodafone.ie

    Outgoing: mail.vodafone.ie
