Telecom Eireann Call Waiting ads

Remember those ads when call waiting was first introduced? I think Eircom were still Telecom Eireann at that time. They were like animated scribble drawings of different people talking on the phone. Dave Fanning was on of the ads, talking day and night of course and Jack Charlton had one as well. :) Must try and locate…

Are you confusing the 'call waiting' ads with the ones about vandalising telephone kiosks? IIRC Fanning and Charlton featured in the anti-vandalising ads. (I'm open to correction, as always)

No, I very very vaguely remember the call waiting ad with Dave Fanning. The anti-vandalism one had Bob Geldof in it -it's a thread a bit further down the page

I remember the Dave Fanning one! He's there babbling on the phone for a few days and a few nights (we see sun rising and setting out the window ), then finally he calls out: "URSULA! IT'S YOUR MOTHER ON THE PHONE!"

Yep, that is the one. All I can remember Jack Charlton is saying, "Hold on a sec, I got a call waitin'"
