A bit melodramatic the post title, but I'm pissed so indulge me please :)

Anyway I'm beginning to come to the conclusion after being a bit of a lothario when it came to trying out poker sites, maybe I should now settle down and just stay with the one I am most comfortable with, the major upside of this is the familarity with the players, I know the regulars there and by and large have respect for em. I know the regular fishies - where they get the money from God knows and my regular site is the most profitable. The downside is of course game selection. I'm playing mostly PLO and Limit Hold Em these days and at fairly high stakes there is not always a great spread at the quieter times of the day.

... anyway just wondering what peoples thoughts were in regards to playing on 1 site primarily or playing across many.

I play at lower stakes so it may be less of an issue, but find myself mainly using Stars for Tourney play (NL & PLO) and Ladbrokes for cash games.

Have used Paddy Power, Titan, Full Tilt and one or two others occasionally - usually when getting trying to get away from bad results on my regular sites. It doesn't help!

I'm sure at the end of the day it doesn't make too much of a difference, especially given the stakes I play at ($50 tourneys and $0.50 / $1 cash games). Probably concentrating on one or two main sites helps in getting to know regular punters. Other than that it is just a matter of taste for me - the look and feel of the site, tourney structure, payout speed / methods etc.

I play almost 100% on Stars. I've heard the cash games are a little tougher than the likes of iPoker but again at $25 and $50nl they should be beatable on all sites. The huge player pool and lack of data-mining mean you're playing in the dark a lot (still doesnt help me fold TPTK :)) I'm missing out on rakeback, but I convince myself that FPP's are a good replacement.

I think if you want to play a lot of tables at the softest games the best thing is to play 2 or 3 of the smaller sites simultaneously.

Be aware that there are quite a few 2+2'ers and their ilk that datamine anyway on Stars. It's one of the reasons why I stopped playing cash there.
