Got my tickets today for my grad - only got 2, could really do with 3 but I don't suppose anyone knows any way to get extra, DCU say not to even bother asking.

More importantly my 2 seats aren't together!!

Silly me for expecting DCU to even get the grad stuff right!

Yeah tis a bit of a joke that some seats aren't together.

Somehow I can't see the robemaker complaining about the setup!

As far as I'm aware you can't get another ticket through an official channels. Outside of that of course I don't know what you can do. ;)

As for the seats not being together, that's just plain ridiculous, haven't actually had a chance to look at my two yet but fingers crossed they're close.

If you go to the Helix on the day, there's usually a desk on the ground floor (not the ticket desk) where you can put your name on a queue. Depending on the amount of seats empty (deliberately or by no-shows), you'll probably get a seat. Only problem is you won't know till a few minutes before and the seats could be anywhere, including behind the stage.

The Robemaker doesn't have anything to do with ticketing !

Lectures take place as usual but your lecturer mayb be invited to the graduation ceremony (for example if they're head of programme board, etc) so that particular lecture will be cancelled. Oddly enough, the staff were more annoyed at their loss of a day off than the students when things changed.

Anyone else having trouble booking robes, DCU has been removed from Conan list. They said we had up till wed to book them.

I wouldn't stress about booking your robe, they always bring far too many for people who don't book in advance, just go as early as possible on the day of your grad so you have a good chance.

What you _should definitely_ book in advance are the pro photographers if you're planning on getting photos takes. If you don't, you could easily queue for over an hour.

Went to pick up my robes today and guess what..another problem. Apparently too many people showed up today so they didn't have enough hats and I have to go back on Tuesday anyway to get mine cos they were only giving them out to grads for the Monday ceremonies

So glad I trekked all the way out there on a weekend to avoid having to queue on Tuesday
