    Hi,

Am feelinging pretty confident about completing my first marathon on Monday week, but what do people do that have body piercings?

I have body glide, but am terrified that I am going to end up with bloody nipples and bellybutton due to changing.

What do others do with piercings? Do you cover them with a bandaid?

    Thanks

    Dinkie,

I don't have any piercings and maybe I am not qualified to comment but I think you should take them off. You will be in enough pain (near the end)as it is & you would be better off by having one less thing to worry about. Band-aids mignt not last even the waterproof ones. Try surgical tape & best of luch

    Hi Dinkie,
I ran the 10 miles in the park with nothing on my nipples, ended up very bloody and sore for weeks. Bought waterproof surgical tape in my local chemist...best thing ever...stays stuck even after 20 miles and running in the rain..
Best of luck too on the day.

It is very easy to solve, put some vaseline every day teh week before you run to make the skin soft, then teh day of the run just put some First Aid Adhesive Plaster (tape).

    then you will be ok.
