sngs on iPoker

The payout structure of the 6 man sng on iPoker I think is a bit extreme, 70% for first and 30% for second. I mean I do realise in general it will even out over time, but nevertheless anytime I finish 2nd I always feel a bit hard done by, no complaints on the rare occasions that I win one of course :p. Anyway finishing 2nd you end up winning less than twice your buy-in even though you have still achieved a fairly decent result. Wouldn't a structure like 60-40 or even 65-35 not be a fairer distrubtion. Thoughts?

I don't mind it. In fact I prefer the top heavy structure as the majority of players don't have a clue how to play headsup. I don't play 10 man SNGs, but they do offer a fairer structure.

It think it should be 1/3 for snd and 2/3 for first
That makes 2x buy-in for 2nd and 4x for first.
Third in a 10 man currently gets more than 2nd in a 6 man

they're too crapshooty at the end so you've very little edge anyway

Sounds fairer to me. especially as it's more of an achievement to come 2nd in a 6 man sng than 3rd in a 10-man imo.

I agree with Murderer also that the majority of players don't know how to play H-U but then again it's a bit of a lottery normally at that stage of a 6 man SNG with the blinds so high that unless they are completely stupid there's not a whole lot of advantage you would have not matter how good you are. Anyway as I say great when you finish 1st but bit of a letdown when you finish 2nd(not as bad as when you finish 3rd of course ;)) . Think at a minimum you should get 1/3rd for finishing 2nd.

The edge is in that the majority of the players will let you run all over them and steal their blinds regardless of how much they are costing them!

I don't find this at the higher limit stakes I play tbh bar a few exceptions of course.
