KSC M11 review

What can I say but OH MY GOD!!!!!!! This Rocks.
Got the KSC M11 from Shiva today and simply drooled when I opened the box.
    Its small and mean!

The body of the GBB is made from really tough ABS that has a nice
matt non-plasticy feel and look to it. The finish is amazing.

The Outer Barrel the wire stock, the trigger,
the internals and bolt and piston, the sling swivel,
the fire selector switch, the safety switch
and the cocking leaver and magazine are all metal.

When you cock the GBB the bolt stays open.
After each shot is fired the bolt says open (on single fire).

An important thing to note is that when the empty magazine is
inserted and you cock the GBB and pull the trigger the bolt wont close
and will jam. This is because the plastic stop that pushes the BB's up to
the top of the magazine gets in the way. If there was a BB present in a
full mag it would get chambered. DONT try and pull the trigger with a cocked
GBB with an empty mag. It may damage the mag.

The Fire selector swith swivels from single fire to full auto smoothly and
will go a full 360 degreees.

The safety switch is solid but a word of warning dont try and cock
the GBB with the safety on. I did by mistake and the bolt stuck
half way and I started to panic. Its desiged to try and prevent you
from cocking the bolt with the safety on.

The Wire stock has a button to extend it, but be careful it will
come all the way out and come off if you keep pulling with the release
button pressed. This is handy if you want to remove it. It locks
into place when fully extended. You need to squeese the wire frame
stock to rotate the final butt plate. There is a bit of wobble when extended.

The Magazine is heavy and inserts perfectly and there is no wobble.

Fireing. Single fire fires fine and full auto fires flawlessly. A lovely
sound comes from fireing it on full auto and it fires about 20 a second.

So far so good, no problems or issues at all yet.

Just though I'd add this to save people from breaking their Mac 11s. (Shiva, you might want to write this somewhere on the box!)

    LOADING DAMAGE
When pressing in a loaded magazine, the top of the mag puts a lot of pressure on the thin metal tube of the gas chamber. After enough abuse in this way, the metal warps and impedes proper operation.

This issue can be completely avoided by cocking the M11 before inserting the magazine. However, doing this means you now are carrying a gun that has a nice big hole in the side that opens directly into the firing chamber. That's what it means when you have a gun that fires from the open bolt. See for yourself.

An alternative I have been using is to load the magazine almost full, then when inserting the mag, pull the spring tab down - so the mag inserts but the BBs are not under tension to push into the gas chamber tube when you do so. After insertion you can release the spring tab. You now have the mag loaded into an uncocked M11, and have placed a bit less stress on the bolt than if you jammed the mag straight in.
