    It's not on http://www.englishirishdictionary.com/dictionary either which is odd, it's usually a very good esource for words.

    You could try asking your teacher OP?

    Jesus thats a weird one... at a guess I'd say it means something along the lines of a bee should always guard his nest, meaning not to leave valuable things unwatched. But don't quote me on that.

    it basically is comparing the place that they were directing the space mission to a bee hive because everyone went crazy when they realised something was wrong and they were all running around the place
