    This is the story so far,
    Im in the process of attempting to put my first book together. I been gathering information as wellas doing some research. Is there a particular format that the book should take, ie what font, size etc.
    Is their a peice of software available that will sort out the pages etc?

    any assistance, directions would be appreciated

    I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess this is a non-fiction book.:p

    If so, do some research into the publisher(s) most likely to publish your work. They will have submission requirements and possibly detail on font requirements etc. If they're not specific then something like Arial or Times New Roman is a safe bet. Double space your work and size 12 would be safe.

    MS Word is more than you'll need. Inserting page numbers is easy, and you can look up help and it'll show you.
