Please don't direct me to opel car club, it's just a quickie, probably.

Workmate has a '99 Vectra 1.6. I thik it has around 90k miles.

His exhaust centre box probably needs changing but since this started causing trouble the car has had rough idle, hunting and very heavy fuel consumption.

I think it sounds like the lambda sensor but Does anyone know where it's located? If the box was gone, could it interfere with the lambda?

Sounds more like it would be the MAF or some cracked vacuum line to me.

Don't know where the lambda sensor is, sorry.
