Standard Sky Tv Box

    Does anyone know how to connect a surround speaker system up to the standard sky tv box? I have an optical cable but the damn box doesn't have any where to put it into! It's a logitech Z680 surround sound speaker system if that helps?!!!

    The standard Sky Digibox outputs stereo on the Scart sockets and phono sockets. Dolby Prologic is included in the stereo (when transmitted). There is obviously no 5.1 digital.

    The standard box does not have a digital out, therefore no Dolby 5.1
    As previous poster says, you can use the phono audio out and get the Dolby Prologic signal.
    Only movie channels (or BBC HD or SKY Sports HD) carry the 5.1 signal anyway!
    Time to upgrade to SKY+ ;)

    Have it since the day it started - May 2006:D:D But I'm not sure it's worth the sub:rolleyes: Best thing on it is the BBC - FTA but can't record the bloody thing:mad:

    Yup, they sure did. I'm pretty sure it only outputted Pro-Logic at best though.
