With the remaining greenland of D15 being swallowed up, increasingly areas of park/public areas are being used for bonfires attracting some fairly dodgy activity very close to peoples houses/cars/kids and the worst thing is the mess they leave behind IMO.

Obviously there are some places more suitable than others, some places can hold a bonfire , some can't and make the area look like a kip for ages afterwords (plus once these guys see thats its ok to have a bonfire in a place, many return and continue to light fires and drink etc for weeks after the event)

For the areas of Dublin 15 within Dublin City Council you can call this number if you see bonfire material gathered in and area and they will remove it (thats what they said anyway)

I don't know the Fingal one, but it would be worth finding out if you share some of my concerns

    That would be this one

The Coolmine Depot is located at Coolmine Industrial Estate.
    Telephone 8214446, Fax 8212568.

Unfortuatley the count counils don't do the house hold collection any more with they don't do the skips in estates for clear up and with the cost of getting rid of larger parts of domestic waste being so costly this time of year a lot of furnature gets dumped for bonfires.

Fingal CC have been know during the day to respond to calls about stuff being left for bonfires and will if contacted come around and remove such stuff which has been dumped or gathered on the 31st oct during the day.

Also if you see a bon fire on a public place do ring the fire service.
