Podge and Rodge are sell outs. They dont give the same level of abuse to people that they used to.

Was at tonights filming (tomorrow nights show) and got a good laugh out of it. Annika Rice (wow, she's still hot) and some lad from Fair City were on it, with Republic of Loose playing some old song at the end. Decent evenings entertainment anyway, something different to sitting at home!

I suppose it is a fine line for them, if they are too abusive they just won't get the guests. If they go too easy they loose their appeal.

I thinkn they are better then most things on RTE but also have the feeling that they have peaked. Maybe if they went a different direction with the show or something.

I am not too sure what they can do to change but the akward questions to the guests or their suggestive remarks to their guests have all been done before by them.

Enjoyed it last night, got more laughs than the Panel anyway.

Really chuckled at the thing in Portlaoise cos I knew the guy with the guitar that they dragged out still on the chair! lmao @ him.

semi good. they always try and pull out all the gags the first shows and then it gets crap. those talent contest things they do are exactly as the called them last nite, time fillers.

i heard before, that the whole show, has a life expectancy of maybe 5 years. i dunno how long this is going on but after last nites show and the end of the last series, i'd say this could be the second last if not last series.

It really has lost its appeal I think. I blame RTE and it's the same reason the Panel isn't as good as it used to be. Namely they get the most boring z list guests known to man and take the piss and we're expected to know who these people are and laugh. Meh, if I'm bored I'll watch it.

I agree with you for podge & rodge, but the reason that the panel isn't as good is Dara O'Briain not being on it...

I watched it last night out of curiosity to see if they had improved on last season, which I stopped watching half way through. The twins were as thick as sh*te and P&R could've really gone to town with that but they didnt. I wont be watching it again. Not really worth staying awake for.

I'm sure they knew... Whatever agent or whatever got them on that show knew exactly what the Podge and Rodge show was and told them when they were agreeing to go on, "Look they're just going to take the utter piss out of you, so don't act offended and take it with good humour".
All part of the publicity game.
