You'll still need your pre-existing ADSL modem, but it should be fine.

on a similar issue i recently switched from ntl to smart in the last week. had the linksys WRRT54GS wireless working fine with my ntl modem but cant seem to get it working with the smart modem.

the wired internet connection works fine just cant get the wireless working. i get a message during the set up process that an internt connection cant be established. was setting it up the same way i set it up with ntl.

    any ideas?
