ok quick STT question I am second shortest stack at about 4k two players on about 12.5 k and one player sitting out with <1k blinds 200/400 considering this is the bubble what should my pushing range be and what is my calling range payout standard 20%/30%/50%

is the player suddenly sitting out, or has he been sitting out all game?

Couple of key questions are whether the software will allow the sitting-out player to play his all-in, in which case he could potentially last another 3 or 4 rounds, or whether it will auto-fold his hand?.

Also are either of the chip leaders going to be get 'clever' and fold to the sitting-out player to keep him alive, whilst bullying you. (This would be more likely if there was a clear chip leader, less likely when there are two joint leaders).

Also its helpful if you are utg when the sitting-out is BB as it gives you first shot at his blind.

In general I'd keep my open-pushing range much the same as on any bubble (22+, A5+, KJ+) as ideally we still want to win , but my 3betting range and calling range would be much reduced (say TT+, AK) as we basically have a free-kick for 3rd place, which shouldn't be sniffed at.

However when he gets down to <1BB in an orbits time, there is no real point in openpushing with the lower end of that range. OpenLimping is fine here and let it be checked down to knock him out.

the player had indeed ben sitting out since winning one of the early hands, he also was indeed to my right. it felt weak folding into the money but I really wasn't sure how best to play this. What was mroe annoying was the fact he won two all in's on BB but the chip leaders open folded my BB on one of the orbits to leave me in reasonable shape

I think you should fold almost anything but I'm not sure

edit: this was assuming the guy couldn't win his all ins.
