Anyone feel like being in a documentary on Body Mods?

I'm currently doing a film-making elective at college and I'm creating a documentary on Body Modification. At the moment, the plan is to produce something which will feature the heavier side of Body Modification in Ireland, in such a way that the general 'unmodified' public can identify with. It'll also (hopefully) be something that people who are interested in Body Modification can be entertained by too. It's 4 minutes long so it's not a huge thing, but I'd like to make it good. And as such I'm willing to travel as far as... eh, Dublin, I suppose, to get some interview footage with the following people:

- People with surgical mods, split tongues- this is the hardest part I guess. Basically, if there's anyone out there with a split tongue, I would absolutely LOVE to talk to you about it, because they were pretty much the things that inspired me to focus on body mods for my documentary. I would also love to talk to people with implants, scarification pieces or anything unusual- even if you're interested in tongue splitting/surgical mods in the future, that'd be great.

- People with not-too-unusual but still relatively uncommon mods- such as large stretched ears or extensive/visible tattoos. Basically if you got a mod for a reason other than 'everyone else was doing it'!

- Professionals in the area- piercers, tattoo artists, even people who are experienced with the rarer side of things, but I'm probably hoping for too much there

- People who are interested in the more ritual/spiritual side- suspensions, play piercing, all that fun stuff.

So if you fall into one of these categories and don't mind talking about it to a student with a crappy camera for a couple of minutes- or you know someone- PLEASE don't hesitate to PM/email me! Even if you just want to tell me how you went about stretching your ears, or how your mods have effected your life- if you have access to the extreme mods forum, you're most likely the kind of person I want to talk to. I can't pay you or anything but I can buy you a drink and/or send you a copy of the documentary when it's done. I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am to anyone who'd be willing to be interviewed- my social circle here is fairly limited in terms of people interested in body mod and this is basically the only way I have of finding people to include in my project.

Thanks a lot Wilburt, I'll probably be heading to Dublin to get interviews so I'll definitely try and get one with you if that's ok! It might not be for another month or so, we're still in the 'pre production' phase so to speak...

And GSW, I *may* make up to Donegal... I'm going to be putting a lot of effort into this so who knows where I'll end up going, haha.

That's the whole research part I have to do Basically I want to present the whole concept of body modification in a way that dispels the whole freak/masochist/weirdo stereotype, etc...

There's no way on earth you could be shier than me, but if it makes you feel better I could try and acquire some kind of novelty hat to hide the camera in...

There's a movie/Doc called Modify going around on the Net, If you know anybody that downloads torrents, get them to do a search Well worth a watch, very extreme stuff
