Agreed Value for Insurance

I'm trying to get an insurance quote for the classic car at home. The question is can I get the insurance company to agree a value of the car before I get the insurance.

The reason I ask is that I had a "minor" accident in my road car and I had trouble getting my full value for the car (I only had the car 40 days!) and you can bet that the book value of a 30 year old Escort is less that 20 euro

Is there a company that will agree to having an agreed value and where can I get the car valued so that the insurance would accept?

Don't bother mentioning Carole Nash. They won't quote me, as the car is "mass produced" and they won't quote on them!

    Thanks

In the UK that's that way classics are normally insured, in my experience. You phone in, give details, tell them how much its worth / you want it insured for. You then send in photographs detailing condition and that's it. Must be different here.

Why won't they give a quote on a car that was mass produced ? Aren't they all mass produced ?

I have just insured my Daimler with Axa Insurance for an agreed value.

I just had to send in front, back and 2 side photos.

    cheers,

That's what I thought. I didn't ask for their definition of "mass produced"
