    Hi,

I'm just back from travelling for the last 9 months. I must now get back to reality and look for a proper job. I've a degree in Business Studies (Marketing and IT). If i had a choice again i wouldn't have chose Marketing but that's for another day. Basically, my sister is a supervisor in a financial services company in Dublin and she's always onto me about getting into fund management. I just asking those with experience in this field if it is all it's cracked up to be? I've no experience at all in this sector so i'm wondering if i would find it difficult to get a job in it first off? I've worked in health insurance for a year or so before i left. Basically i'm looking for any advice from people working in fund management.

A couple of my friends do it. It's basically a clerical role; you re-calculate figures and check balances. It's absolutely not glamourous or anything like that :)

However you can earn above average wages very quickly, and it sounds like a handy enough job for a graduate.
