Poker in Limerick? cardclub / casino

    Heading to Limerick for the weekend, whats the inside story on casino / card clubs?
    Can find listings for Fitzpatricks Casino & The New Vic.
    - Tournies Friday/Saturday ?
    - Cash action ?
    - Drink served ? (its a stag)
    - Will I be taking my life in my hands making a call in either ;)?

    The Vic is no more.
    The Fitz is a very nice club; clean, well run and, of late, abundant with new faces eager to play a game of cards. Alot of old, draw poker players, playing hold'em very poorly.

    Tournies - Friday is your best bet. €60FO. 4-5 tables. Lots of cash action this night too.
    No drink. Pubs are 15 seconds away though and there's a good chance you won't lose your life in any of them.

    there's also a good chance that when i flop a house with my 7 8 suited that i'll still be ahead by the river!! :p

    Has the Vic closed recently? Pity, I liked it, always a good laugh playing in there too. Friendly staff and a 50c €1 cash game.
