Some really good snaps there fair play to you.

This is in no way a comment on your pictures Steyr but do people on here regret the fact that when you go to an airport these days, you don't see a huge variety of aircraft. It's normally your 737's and Airbus equivalents of this and the 777 with the odd 747 thrown in.

Wouldn't be great to see some McDonnell Douglas', lining up with some Lockheeds and a Tupolev or Ilyushin thrown in for good measure, along with all the pretty standard stuff as mentioned above.

Perhaps this deserves a thread on it's own....sorry for putting a downer on this one Steyr!!!

    Great pics.

If you were still there at about 19:00 and saw the BMI A319 landing , my little face would have been poking out of it. ( well behind a window )

Saw some interesting stuff in LHR on Thursday when I arrived , including an USAF E4....... now I assume it wasn't ' Air Force one ' at that time because GWB wasn't in London as far as I know .

I agree with the previous poster , in LHR by and large ( and I sat watching the arrivals for about an hour ) its ....

    A32n
    A32n
    B737
    A32n
    B737
    B747
    A340

    Etc etc.

    I still think the A340 - 600 looks great

If any of you have an hour or two to kill waiting for a flight to Ireland , don't go down to gates 80-90 ... walk up to gate 8 , there is a great open area there where you can see the arrivals/departures on 27R/09L. However remember it's about a 20 min walk from there to gates 70-90 :)

By the way it was my first time on a A319 if I remember ( although I think I may have been on one in China ). Of course not much different from the usual A320/321 except it was newer.

Great set of pics - the first one of the 737 with the big winglets is espicially good. It almost makes me want to change my opinion that the A320 is a much better looking aircraft then the 737 - almost!
