Totally exhausted but in high spirits after a fantastic seminar today in Molesworth Place. There were 7 different Filipino systems giving a taste of what they do and the spirit and energy of the participants who gave their time AND money to such a good cause (Fr Shay Cullen of PREDA) was fantastic to see. Master Ding of Llanera Escrima, Paul Cox of Doces Pares, Richard McMahon and Aiden Cochrane of Kalis Illustrisimo, Shane O'Neill and John Hoey of Warriors Escrima, Aiden Canavan (and sorry I can't remember the other chaps name) of Newman Escrima, Aran Keenan and myself in Atienza Kali and I taught the Sayoc Kali session with the help of Dave Greaney.

Although we unfortunately had to leave early and miss the Newman and Warrior Escrima sessions, everyone seemed to have a great day and were getting stuck into the different sessions which were taking place. I would like to think that the way this went down today that perhaps it could become an annual event as the energy certainly seemed to be there for it. Thank you to everyone who came along and a special thanks to Lionel and Martin for their generous contributions.

Just to add my 2 cents to Dave's review. 'Twas a great day and we raised, final figure still to be toted up, around €1200 for Fr Cullen’s great work. I personally would like to thank everyone who participated, especially the instructors who not only taught excellent material for free but also made financial donations as well. Some of these guys traveled quite a ways to take part in this event.

To the students who turned up and train for a looong 7 hours, respects, it was nice to get to meet & train with different people in the FMA, As Paul Cox's so succinctly put it 2.. we're all doing the same thing just with a different style".
Big shout out to the NUIM self defense club for representing in what for them was a whole new game.

A full review with the obligatory pictures is on the way. Special thanks to both, Shane O’Neill for all the organization on the day and to Dave Joyce who, with seminars for charities in Thailand & the Philippines, now has a karmic bank balance way, way in the black
