Most boxers know nothing about weight training so your better off asking in the fitness forum! plyometric exercises would be best but go to fitness for more details on that-:)

    would agree with cowzerp
But there is one old weight exercise that I found very good for boxing
ok its more for strengthening a body part (wrists) than building mass/power.

Circular weight at the end of rope/string, other end of string tied to wooden handle. Exercise consists of winding the weight up and down at arms length used wrist power only (controlled speed is the keg)

If wearing ankle weights is weight training, then IMO it is the best a boxer can do. It's very good for improving the most important trait a boxer needs, good footwork...

The barbell full contact twist is said to be a good exercise for punching power.

TBH the topic of weight training for boxing is a can of worms. There are many different opinions on its usefulness and on which exercises are best. Many boxers/coaches are very anti weight training but some of this is due to ignorance and lack of understanding eg when you mention weight training people immediately have an image of huge pumped muscles, steroids etc.
