Total Health Check-Up - Advice Needed

First off, if this topic is not permitted, then I apologize and the List Mom can close it.

But, I am not looking for medical advice and I can't find any other health related fora on Boards.ie. In addition, my request is of a very general nature and would be of interest to many readers.

I want to go for a total health check-up, somewhere in Dublin. Age and family history (and my wife!) dictate that the time has come.

My understanding is that this service is offered by Blackrock Clinic, Beacon Clinic and Mater Private.

    1. Is anyone else offering the service that I should be considering?

    2. Is anyone aware of key differences between the services offered that one should take into consideration?

    3. Are there tests/questions which one should seek/ask that none of the incumbents offer/ask by default? In other words, do any of you feel that they come up short in certain areas and which a customer should ask for?

That's it. If someone would prefer to reply by PM,then please do so. I would be very grateful. But, to reiterate, I think that my query is of general interest and importance.

    Many thanks.

    D.

I am also looking to get something like this done, but have no idea where to go.

As above, I do not mind paying a bit to have it done, for piece of mind etc.

    Any advise appreciated.

your GP can do a pretty good one too. Its the Well Man program. You won't get much of a difference in the check up - and if something comes up in the hospital check up, your GP has to follow it up anyway.
