I need to get a 4WD tractor with a front loader for picking up round bails and putting in silage with a grab. Around a price range of 10,000 euro. I have seen JD 2650 4WD tractors in this price range but not sure if they're any good. Any suggestions?

2650 is a good machine, but you want one that has been looked after. If brake filings get into the hydraulic oil they will wreck the gear box, so check if the oil is clean, 2650's can give head gasket trouble but its not too common. JD is a good choice, nice to see some people have sense!

2650 back end is rubbish. wouldn't recommend it.

Which one of these would you recommend for front loader work around the yard. These would be 1989 - 1993 models.

    Massey Ferguson 3085 - 3125
    Same Antares 100
    John Deere 2650
    Ford 7610 or 7810

massey gave trouble with autotronic boxes and the transmission
same - parts are hard to get and too expensive
john deere is akward around the yard
ford 7610 or 7810 is best bet out of this lineup - watch out foor porus block.

7610 were renound as being a ball of crap , i would go for either a case 885xl or if you can get one for your budget of 10 k a case 956xl , back then the case was as good as the john deere , especially the 956 , fantastic tractor

7610 super Q is still the most popular and sought after ford in this country, out of the line up given it was the best pick. dont like case - cabs are too small.

all i know is the ford 7610 with the collumn change gearbox was a complete disaster , i dont like ford anyway but they were regarded my most as rubbish

a 956xl is just shy of 100hp , fantastic tractor , whats this about the cab being too small , there as big as in the 2850 or even 3050 john deere of the same era and ive never heard anyone faulting them on there cab

if the size of the cab is your main priority , buy a 20 year old or older zetor

actually now that i think of it , i think the 956 xl could be over a hundred hp , 105 perhaps
