That doesn't mean I'm small and yet to... well, you know. It means I know nothing about consoles. My question to the board.. Want to buy the better half a console for Christmas, not sure what to go for, Wii, DS, DS Lite. I know she doesn't mind which. Neither of us are ardent gamers so I'm leaning to wards Wii, might be more fun. Anyone care to express an opinion?
    Thanks..

I've heard good things about those brain games on the ds-lite ... (have one or two friends who swear by them)

If you're both not big gamers ... the Wii is a lot of fun ... you'll really want two controllers with that though ... you're looking at around the 300 mark for that ...
The Wii also has a big novelty factor if you've got friends over ... and can be good at partys or get togethers

The missus :) even plays with it from time to time .. though we've not played with it for a month or two ...

Depending on if ye commute ... or not the ds-lite could be good ...

The wii is great fun, I would highly recommend it,especially when you are playing 2+ players

I'd go for the Wii - not that the Ds isn't great but the Wii is a real console for non gamers - it's a great piece of kit - my missus uses wii sports as keep fit and it's great fun and the Wii fitness software will be coming out soon which if done properly will be huge.

Yeah buy a Wii/DS because Nintendo are for casual gamers.

Correction -- Wii/DS have games that "casual" gamers will actually play.

Also see PS2 -- Singstar & the like.

Thanks folks, we're not die hard gamers, just looking for a bit of fun.

Thanks to all who took the trouble to reply, think a Wii is on the cards :)
