This is my first visit here, & thought i'd let people know that the 1st series of the old series is on Virgin1/+1 on Sat & Sun.

As i caught the last 3m by accident before it finished i looked up epguides.com & digiguide-> the next episode is:
    Time - 07:00 to 08:00 (1 hour long).
When - Sunday 14th October on Virgin 1

The Lost Planet of the Gods (Part 1 of 2). Series 1, episode 4.

Its also on at 2pm rpt & same times on Sat as well. :)

Question: What series did it have Dick van Dyke's son in it along with some other fella in it, as that's the show i saw whether it was a rpt. or new i cant remember it off the top of my head.

That was Galactica: 1980, a short-lived spin-off that featured Adama with a beard, some genius kid (i.e. annoying as hell) that looked like the milky bar kid, and Boxy "all growed up". Dick van Dyke's son played his buddy.

Let's just say, it wasn't a patch on the original.

Heh, i remember it now & hopefully forget it again?

I came across the show by accident today Diagnosis Murder & saw the two van Dykes in it or should i say stuck in it.

I read what the producer had to say about it:
Larson has subsequently stated his regret for this second season, and other than the finale "The Return of Starbuck," considered the episodes a waste of time. Given another chance at continuing the storyline, he said he would chalk up "1980" to a bad dream or a computer simulation, then continue the first season as if "1980" had never happened.

& strangely enough i read this beforehand:
but also to the stringent educational standards of a 7 p.m. time slot.
I came home from school (a long time ago in a galaxy far away) :p & saw this on RTE after 3pm! I think that was Thelma & Derek days.

Its funny that Larson stated about finale "The Return of Starbuck,"
As he never wanted Dirk Benedict for the role twice & even then he didnt want him again for The A-Team as he stated in a movie mag & the tv show "bring back The A-Team"
