Yeah I watched this today at work (had to keep stopping it) but thats didnt take away from the fact that I really REALLY enjoyed this show! I was expecting something a little crappy, but this was wow...it was just great!

The effects were top notch adn the actors are well chosen. This was a preair ep so chances are one or more of them will be replaced by different actors but I'm willing to risk that.

    Good show, check it out!:D

It's due to start on Virgin 1 soon (if not already?)

Don't hold your breath. AFAIK it won't be screened in the US until January, so Virgin won't have it before then.

Really? Damnit, those promo ads had me thinking otherwise. Ah well, thanks for the info.

Yeah it looks great. Got a look at the New Bionic Woman and I must say it looks great. The pilot is floating around the net on various sites. It launches in the US this month. I wonder if Sky got their dirty mittens on it or will Virgin start swiping a few more shows on them...

Launches? Don't you mean launched? It's already had three episodes aired and only one of them (the latest) would I count as being towards a sign that 'The Bionic Woman' is going to be worth watching in the long term.

As to 'The Sarah Conor Choronicles', it has some good moments but I think Summer Glau is horribly miscast in the role and I've an awful feeling we'll be obliged to sit through many episodes humanising her and having herself and John Connor make moon eyes at each other...

Had a look at bionic woman too and it was good but I did prefer Sarah Chronicles. the Eastenders chick wasnt great but not terrible as the Bionic woman! And the sister was just annoying.

I know what you mean about River Tam...I mean Summer Glau being odd for the role and if the moon eyes start I'll have to walk away form the show.

It's set shortly after T2 with some of the same monologue in the opening scene as Sarah Connor had in the closing scene of the movie. Basically it's John and Sarah Conner on the run from the various Terminators which are sent back to kill John. She thinks they shouldn't be there; as she destroyed Skynet in the movie (but we all know different!)

And of course there is the obligatory FBI guy who thinks she's off her nut coz robots from the future are trying to kill her! He even mentions all the people she murdered in her escape from the mental institute. (Surely they have footage of that escape and would see it was Robert Patrick who did all the killin'!

Don't want to give away the first eps surprises but there are a few! Some more predictable than others but still entertaining!:D

I might have a look for it later but I assumed this would just be muck like the Blade show

The movie also ignores T3, so its events are not remotely considered canon in terms of this movie.

Interestingly, the Terminator trilogy was produced by Fox, but this tv show is the product of Warner Bros. Telvision but will air on Fox TV. Hopefully this will mean it won't get axed if Fox take a dislike to it.

They're filming the whole thing ahead of schedule anyway, so even if they do pull it, the episodes will already have been filmed. We'd get them one way or another.

ive had the pilot for a while but havnt got round to watching it. im not all too interested either. since T3 theyve basically been butching the series imo specially with the announcment of T4, T5 and T6 all without arnie.
The 3rd film was bad enough

But since they're ignoring T3, shouldn't that make you happy? And Arnie is well past his sell-by-date for terminating.

I know but with Fox not being in control it's not likely to suffer at the hands of the trigger happy Fox executives. They are notorious for quickly cancelling new shows that aren't attracting the audiences they expected.

Saw the pilot for this today. Thought the start was pretty crap but the episode improved toward the end. Some of the acting is on the brutal side though - especially from the 'new' terminator in the show. Is there 2 different actors playing the terminator in the pilot? Looked like the one at the start was a different actor. Id agree with sentiments above - since its only the pilot - they are probrably sussing out what actors to keep and get rid off. My opinion of the pilot episode

    - Start was pretty bad but the end had a clever streak to it
    - The acting at the start is particularly awful but does improve toward the end

Lastly my main complaint is that it is too cheesy for my liking in general. Typical of Fox.
