    Hi, Folks,

Beloved Spouse recorded a prog last Thursday. Now cannot play it. When you hit "I" button the info displays an "S" on extreme RHS. Anyone know what this means?

Those letters in on the RHS indicate whether the programme you are watching has subtitles, is widescreen, has surround sound, etc. They are a little cryptic but I'll guess than S stands for subtitles, activated by pressing Help on the remote and the right arrow.

Following link shows programme info abbreviations and their meaning.

Doesn't mention the S though, but I presume it means Stereo as T is for Subtitles.

I'd like to see a pic of this, if possible. Sounds very weird.

Have you tried unplugging the box from the mains for a wee while, and plugging it back in again?
