Denis Behan scored his 10th goal in 7 games & set a new club record for scoring in 7 consecutive games, a record previously held by club legend, Pat Morley. He ran straight at me to celebrate, but this time I was ready for him.

He wasn't slow to remind everyone that it was goal number 10. :D

    I'm delighted with the shot!
Captured a legend in the making.
It takes some effort to eclipse Pat Morley!
By the way, Pat got into photography in a big way after he retired from football.

I know a lot of people don't understand, but I was a child who dreamed of playing for Cork City FC & the Rep. of Ireland. For me, the dream was never a possibility, but I get the next best thing. I get to share the hallowed turf with the men I adore & capture moments which will be historic for many.

I don't expect everyone to understand & I'll accept the opinion that I'm obsessed, but this is what makes me tick...

Former Cork City FC players, Kevin Doyle & Shane Long, in action for Ireland last night...

You lucky sod, someday I hope to get a chance to get pitchside to take a few photos like yours. Nice pics btw, hoping to bring the camera to the U21 match on Tuesday night.

Great work Peader. The Irish shots are great but the Behan one is my fave, considering how perfect an exposure it is for the circumstances (a black jersey at the Carlisle Grounds).

International games are the reward for many cold nights, in the darkness of eircom League grounds.

Brilliant work Peadar, any of those would look perfect gracing the walls of a kid's bedroom as pullouts from a soccer magazine. Well done.

    To be honest, I'm buzzing!
It has been a real confidence boost.
Looking forward to Wednesday now, but it's back to basics on Friday, when I battle with the terrible lighting at drogheda's place.

you should console yourself with the fact that you'll get to see the super drogs winning the league. against Cork too, doesn't get much better than that :D

    City-Exile great capture.

Just a little side not if you remove that 6% green cast from the shot it makes a world of difference. Blacks become black and he looks a lot healthier.

    The jersey isn't black!

With regard to drogs winning the league, if Pats win, but drogs don't, then there will be no title secured on Friday.

LOL never said anything about the jersey I was talking about the shadow area and the effect green was having on his skin tones, hands excluded.

    Great shots Peadar.

Didn't get there in time to set up as I was trying to get the Germans to Croker from the Fan Fest, 1500 turned up and beer supplies came close to exhaustion.

yeah, heard that one more than a few times over the years from Dubs. I don't bother trying to explain any more because I just get one of two answers:
"sure they're both the same inanyways"
    or
"sure you're all bleedin cluchies inanyways"

gotta love that Dub sense of humour

Great shots City, by the way. That Robbie pic really does sum up his Ireland career lately

Look out for it in the Cork City FC v St. Patrick's Athletic, match day programme, next Monday. They may have found a suitable caption. ;)

I got this printed off in 12" x 12" from PhotoBox & it looks absolutely awesome!
It's the first time I've had a fast delivery from them but the print quality is as good as always.
Got some other shots printed too & it really gives them life.
Would be nice to sell a few to pubs & make a few yo's before the Holiday Season.
