On the audigy card, it has a digital out jack. My question is
    1. It looks like a 3.5mm jack to me, so can a normal 3.5mm jack be used and if not, what kind of jack do I need.
    2. I want to have the audio out to RCA so would that even be possible with digital out?

    Thanks.

I think its 6 channel output as three stereo digital signals front, rear, sub/cen
The 3.5mm plug has 4 segments, like some camcorder cable

with a mono 3.5mm plug you would just get just stereo digital

what do you want to connent the card to? surround decoder

i don't think the digital output of the card itself will do 6 channel to one mono rca connector
