Having bought a d80 (with 18-15 kit and 70-300 mm VR) a while back i have now opened my old camera bag (which had laid unopened for many a year) and found the following relics of pre digital and AF days.....

    Nikon FG body
Nikon F-301 body (great memories of using this)
    Nikon Nikkor 50mm 1.8
    Bell & Howell 35-70mm 1:3.5-4.5
    Tokina SD 70-210 1:4-5.6
    Kiron MC7 2X Teleconverter for N/AI
    Sigma 400mm 1:5.6
    Sigma mini wide II 28mm
    a few filters I may recycle !

    The question are

    1. is there a market for any of this stuff or am ibest to put it in the attic for future generations to look at the 1980/1990s Brownie equivalent

    2. would the teleconverter work with new lens bought for the d80 (losing the af function etc)

    3. is this stuff of any use now or should I grin :D and dump it  and move on :)

Keep it ! If you get into photography sooner or later you'll regret dumping it all ... stick that 50 1.8 onto that FG body and load it up with velvia and you'll get transparencies that will be wildly superior to anything your shiny new digital body can produce :D

-edit- forgot to mention ... any of the AF lenses should work perfectly on the D80. Everything else will mount perfectly but you'll lose metering, so I don't know how useful that is for you. The teleconverter -might- work if it has all the neccessary contacts and coupling ring, not familiar with the brand. It certainly shouldn't damage the camera to try.

I'd jump at the chance to take it all off your hands but I already have a nikon AF body, a nikon manual body, and roughly the same lens set as you have above (although all nikon). If you don't want to keep it I'd find some student or some relative or something and pass it on.

if you dont want the 50mm 1.8 I know a spyral that might like it :p

Keep it unless you are SURE you wont use it or you want to raise funds to get other kit
