- I take it that includes Flickr?

I doubt they could prove it was published if you took it down off flickr to enter it.

Plus I'm not sure Flickr could be considered published, on-display maybe, not too sure about published.

I would only count "Previously Published" as in the mainstream media or magazines, periodicals, books etc... Flickr isn't publishing as far as I'm concerned anyway.

Great,I love these kind of competitions.They really get you thinking, much more interesting than landscape competitions.It's going to take something really original to win this with the amount of people who watch the Late Late.

Not sure, I was reading the "FAQ's" for it, I came across this

FAQ
Entrants must include a description (max 30 words) of how the subject of the photograph adds a little extra to their world (see examples on the main page).

and on the how to enter

# What information do I need to provide along with my entry?
...
* Description of the photograph subject matter and how it adds a little extra to your world
...


So it's a description in 30 words or a description and how it adds a little extra to your world ? did you try to write something that's 30 words ?

The above was 30 words, very tight if they want a description, so I'm thinking of a short 30 word description plus an extra "spare" paragraph (<100 total) ?

I gave a short 30 word description... to quote Hamlet: "brevity is the soul of wit"

Probably safest to stick to the 30 though they can't disqualify you if you don't. A bit slack only mentioning it in the FAQ and not in the T&C's and "How to enter".

I reckon you're on to something there alright Sinead, I'd say the photo plus the caption is what they will judge.

You can enter a max of three so I'm going to stick 3 in alright.
