I love it. Perhaps Carey's best comedy film!

It was slated when it came out, presumably because everyone was expecting another slapstick in the mould of The Mask or Ace Ventura.

Love it, its no exactly 'laugh out loud' comedy but more of a biting satire on ironically most of the type of films Carey did before it.
And its just before Ferris Bulleur got fat :D

I found it a little askew, it seemed to change from being a comedy into a psycho stalker movie. I read recently that Ben Stiller directed it, I found that Carey acted out Bens style of comedy in the movie. Maybe it would have been funnier if Ben had played the part?
On hindsight I think Carey was great and all that but I feel he was mis-cast in this movie, and maybe as a result the story just didn't work, that's just my opinion.
