Friend is moving into new house and is prepared to pay €37.50 extra for standard install as he will have no phone line. He will have to enter a 12 month contract.
I am going to give him my Sky+ box. Wondering if he can ring Sky and get them to pair his card to the Sky+ box.

yes... be remember he'll need at least a twin feed lnb for full sky+ funcitonality (which had been free since start of june)

I also have a quad lnb that I can give him. He can ask the installer to run a second coax at the time of install. He knows that this will cost extra.
The real query is if Sky will upgrade his account to Sky+ ?

    Hi Byte,

Several posts on this topic at the moment. My friend rang Sky and booked an install for next Monday 22nd. The guy at Sky said there was no offer for Sky+, without a phone line, even for new customers. He said that he was even waiting hinself for the situation to change.
Should my friend ring Sky and ask if the offer of Sky+ with NPL is now available ?

    Thanks

Yes, he should ring Sky and see.

I work for indy retailer, and Sky had sent us emails about the NPL offer.
