I'm due to travel to NY in November returning on the 28th, the problem is my passport expires 27th May 2008, one day short of six months, does any one know if this would cause a problem?

I thought your passport had to be valid for six months after you travel to the US but found this on the US embassy in London
If you are a passport holder from anyone of the following countries, the requirement that your passport be valid for six months beyond your date of departure from the U.S. is waived.
and it lists Ireland as one of the countries.

I think the US embassy website is as trustworthy as it comes regarding these matters ;)

Previous threads on this topic seem to come to the conclusion that you will be fine.
