Ahhh the fabled "long run"! does this magical place exist, is it folklore, rumour or legend?

Took a pretty hefty beat earlier, a friend tried to cheer me up by reminding me that in the "long run" i'll get the better of these comedians limp-reraising me with K7o and nailing my QQ.

Au Contraire! I beg to differ! Not discounting the increasing probability i may in fact be 1 of the afore mentioned comedians, its got me thinking which events will happen 1st before i reach the Promised Land!!!!

Not the best seat. Camby is very tough to play against.

Who is it though? Not Jarod Hamby?

No. Big winner on stars, including the million in the last few months. Jared hamby is "TheWacoKidd" on stars.

Gutting :( felt like i was gonna score big back there, i'd have preferred to get 7 2 for the next 50 hands and fold my way into 10k :( oh well! thx for the railing!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,538 ✭✭✭Requiem4adream

Ahhh 5 hours sleep and im good as new! coolered out of a possible 45k after almost 8 hours but nobody died!!

Back on topic, or a variation of on topic:

Any of ye ever worry that the "long run" is our way of telling ourselves that we're better than these guys, i.e. we must win over an extended period..... what im getting at, is it just something we cling to when times are bad? a misplaced euphemism?

I'd be willing to make a bold blanket statement and say Boardsies as a collective will beat the general poker playing populous in the 'long run', but what if our edge or perceived edge over them isnt enough to justify the journey?

    * hope that makes sense, trying to use proper poker terms n stuff lol
